Cabernet Sauvignon is considered the king of red wines. It is one of the most widely produced grapes and wines in the world. The grape is a cross between Cabernet Franc and Sauvignon Blanc, it produces low yields resistant to rot and pests.

It is originally from Bordeaux, France, but grows extremely well in Napa Valley, Maipo Valley in Chile, Stellenbosch in South Africa and Coonawarra in Australia

In warmer climates, Cabernet Sauvignon produces are darker, densely flavored, with soft tannins. In a cooler climate, it produces paler and more acidic wines.
