What is Albariño?
Albariño is a white grape from Northwestern Spain mainly grown in Rias Baixas and in Northern Portugal where it’s known as Alvarihño. It is also finding quite the home in cool coastal regions such as Central Coast California. The grape produces crisp, fresh, and salty white wines. Flavors and aromas include ripe citrus, Meyer lemon, orange peel, peach, yellow flowers, and a touch of lees.
